Having been a college student for almost 8 months, I can really tell the differences between my high school and college celebration of occasions. First of all, my high school and college celebrations differ in duration. In high school, we celebrate the foundation of the school for only two days while in college we celebrate it for one week. Second, high school and college celebration of occasions also differ in the number of activities. In high school, they give a lot of importance to academics rather than extra-curricular activities. So there are only few activities held during high school celebrations. In college, on the other hand, though they also give a lot of importance to academics they can still manage to keep the balance in academic and non-academic activities. In college there are numerous activities being held during a celebration like dance contests, singing contests and banner-making contests. Finally, high school and college celebration greatly differs in the way they celebrate occasions. In high school, we celebrate occasions in the simplest way we can. We only conduct one or two programs and we conduct these programs within the school. In college, we celebrate occasions with many programs like sayawtenista, awitenista and sports fests, these programs are usually extravagant programs. Also, in college sometimes they conduct these programs outside the school. Truly, there is a big difference between my high school and college celebration of occasions.
